Digital Switchover

Cambridgeshire ACRE is supporting the local roll-out of the Switchover Help Scheme
which aims to help people to understand the changes to how our
television signal will be received from the end of March 2011 onwards.
The analogue signal will be switched off and replaced with a digital
signal that you will need special equipment to receive.

We need local volunteers to help raise awareness
and make sure no one misses out on the help that is available to make
the necessary changes.

We are looking for people who are willing to
make use of their local connections, knowledge and networks to spread
the word. If you think you could help the message reach some of the most
vulnerable people in our communities please read the attached
information and return a completed ‘Volunteer Form’ to be invited to a
training event which is taking place on 27 January at the Cambridge
Development Centre.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this
rewarding opportunity. Please forward this email to any friends,
colleagues or groups who you think may like to get involved. We would
also be grateful if you could add the details to any newsletters or

Please note, we are looking for volunteers across, East Cambridge, Fenland, South Cambridge, Huntingdon and Cambridge City
