Arctic Dog Sled Charity Challenge February 2013
Depending on when you read this I will either be preparing and training for, away on or back from my trip to Dog Sledding in northern Sweden! Traveling over frozen lakes, through snow covered forests and into the mountains with temperatures varying from -5C to -45C will be a far cry from here in the humble Fens! As well as a being a personal challenge and adventure I am raising funds for the Brooke, an international animal welfare organisation dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules, in the poorest parts of the world.
The trip has been self funded with generous help from The Dorcas Trust, so all of the money raised from sponsorship goes directly to the charity. I would like to thank all those that have sponsored me so far. If you haven’t and would like to, you can drop some money round to me at the stables or you can visit my Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/Kevin-Pallant and make a donation and leave suitable comments there!
On Fri 8th March 7pm – 9pm I will be hosting an evening in the village hall where I will share stories and show pictures from my trip. You are all welcome, it will be free entry, the presentation will start at 7.30pm and there will be light refreshments available.
Vi ses snart!
