Lent lunches proved even more popular this year raising almost £300 and a huge thank you to all who supported them. As a result we are able to donate £150 to AFIA (Away from it All) Holidays and £150 to the Wheels Appeal. Our Open Evening in April was very informal and well supported. Besides an interesting display of literature explaining some of the work and projects of the Mothers Union, also on view were a selection of garments knitted by branch members and friends e.g. childrens sweaters etc which are sent to those in need, and items for premature babies at Rosie Maternity Unit. A similar event is planned for the Autumn.
