News from the Coach House Riding School
Following our announcement in the last newsletter about closing the Riding School, there have been several rumours floating about which we should like to clarify. We are closing so I can retire from the Riding School which I have been running for 28 years; I have several hobbies which I would like to pursue, but never have the time. We are not leaving the village, this is our home and we are not selling or going anywhere. We haven’t decided on how we may utilize our equestrian property, but we are keeping several of our horses, and will retain the fields for the foreseeable future, and provided everyone who walks dogs along the permitted pathways round our fields picks up the dog pooh we will keep the paths open.
Nothing has changed much at the stables except we are now closed on a Tuesday; we are doing a few courses over the Easter break. Kevin is about to harrow and fertilize the fields so we may get some grass for the horses to eat! We have to erect a bigger boundary fence as the horses keep spooking at the basket ball court and bike track when they are in the arena. Some of the horses are for sale so I am looking for good permanent homes for them, so watch this space…..
