Three Rivers Mothers Union

The Speaker at our February meeting was Mr Howard Laver when he gave us an interesting insight into Food Banks and how they have evolved.  The Food Banks are run by volunteers and the local one, which opened in 2013, is at Soham.   It  still gives much needed help and the users may be homeless, unemployed, victims of  abuse or in temporary difficulties due to late payment of benefits etc.

The Service in March for Women’s World Day of Prayer this year had a Cuban theme and was well attended.

The Lent Lunches were again very popular and our thanks to all who so generously supported them.
