Our Annual General Meeting was held in September in Chippenham Village Hall. Helen, our Leader, reported a very full and busy year. The meetings had been well attended and we had been very pleased to welcome two new members to our midst. Speakers at our formal meetings covered a diverse range of topics, e.g. Foodbanks, Praying, Working with Special Needs etc ., each, in its own way, giving us food for thought. We met from time to time at the local Garden Centres for coffee or afternoon tea and there were visits to Suffolk Churches, Elveden and Ely Cathedral Christmas Food & Gift Fair. Fund-raising events, e.g. Lent Lunches, Coffee Mornings, were all very successful and all monies raised were donated to MU projects both local and overseas.
The Committee for the year remains unchanged but this was Helen’s final Report as our Leader as she and Mike retire in2017. Jenny, on behalf of the members, thanked Helen for her tireless work and support she has given to us all. We will surely miss her.
