The Speaker at our February meeting was Mr Howard Laver when he gave us an interesting insight into Food Banks and how they have evolved. The Food Banks are run by volunteers and the local one, which opened in 2013, is at Soham. It still gives much needed help and

The Lent Lunches were again most successful raising approximately £350, all of which will be donated to Charities, both local and overseas; these will be determined at our next Committee Meeting. Thank you to all who supported us so generously; the donations we make do, in some small way, help
The Crafts & Coffee morning this year was hosted by Gaynor Ryan and was very enjoyable and successful. Gaynor gave a demonstration of soda bread making, and she made it look very easy. Some were enthused to go home and try it for themselves! In February a group of members
During July 15 ladies had a very enjoyable visit to Sheringham; the mini-bus was almost full and the sun shone! After a pleasant lunch in Sheringham they made their way to the Parish Church where they were made very welcome by members of the Sheringham and Roughton Mothers’ Union branches.
Lent lunches proved even more popular this year raising almost £300 and a huge thank you to all who supported them. As a result we are able to donate £150 to AFIA (Away from it All) Holidays and £150 to the Wheels Appeal. Our Open Evening in April was very informal
